Gary Sluhan has perfected the sounds of various artists from Gordon Lightfoot, Cat Stevens, Sam the Sham and the Pharohs (Little Red Riding Hood), and most notably Jimmy Buffett. He has even been asked more than once if he was Jimmy Buffett. This has happened in Las Vegas, Sanibel Island, St. Petersburg and St. Louis. That is just a part of it, once you hear him perform you can appreciate why people wonder if it is the original artist who did the song. That along with his style will have you reliving the era in which that song was originally recorded.
Gary Sluhan is available for corporate functions, private parties, local venues or whatever you desire. If you are yearning for Jimmy Buffett style music and a good time, you should attend one of his performances. His motto is "I take requests, I just don't play them", which is not the way he is. If you want to hear a song, and Gary knows it, he WILL gladly play it for you.

Well, 2009 is finally upon us and once again I am gearing up for another busy summer. There are some things that I am working on that should be to everyone's liking. I would like to say thank you to everyone who came out in 2008 and to everyone who booked me. I know what I do looks like fun and it is when everything is set up and ready to go. Then the three or four hours pass and it's time to tear down and go home. That's the actual "work" part of playing, setting up and tearing down. As I like to joke, I play for free. I charge for the set up and tear down. Again, it's a joke. I know some of you this past year asked about places around town and if I thought about playing at these places. I have always said that if there is a place you would like to see me play let the establishment know. You are their customers and they would love your input and feedback. Just like me. So, if the occasion arises and you don't mind, drop my name. I always have cards at my shows. ( Well now I do! ) Ha! Ha!
Finally, this year we are going to raffle off another acoustic-electric guitar with a hardshell case. It is an Ovation Celebrity Deluxe CSE44. MSRP is $969.49, tickets will be $1.00 each or 6 tickets for $5.00. The proceeds again will be going to the Bob Costas Cancer Center at Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center. Tickets can be purchased during all of my public performances.
